Wine & Crab Restaurant Week   February 24 through March 1
The Monterey Bay and Pacific coastline of San Mateo and

Santa Cruz Counties, is home to generations of fishermen who

sustainably harvest local Dungeness crab as well as winemakers

that produce locally handcrafted wines. This year the Santa Cruz

Mountains Winegrowers Association will host Wine and Crab

Restaurant Week from February 24 to March 1. All restaurants

will participate on Sunday, 2/24 from 1 to 4 p.m. and all other days

from 5 to 6:30 pm. This week long celebration of crab and locally

handcrafted wines will surely delight foodies and oenophiles alike!

Friday, March 22nd- Pinot Paradise Technical Session on Minerality

- Taste and Terroir 

This year the Santa Cruz Mountains winemakers will be exploring

the topic of Minerality, "Taste and Terroir" followed by a "new" VIP

"Meet the Winemaker" reception. Come and learn about Minerality

and how it relates to Pinot Noirs made in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Sip, sample and enjoy Pinots made by these legendary winemakers as well as some edible delights.

Friday, March 22nd Pinot Paradise- Ultimate Pinot Noir Winemaker

Dinner, The Mountain Winery, Saratoga, CA.   March, 22nd, 2013 7

pm-9pm

Please join us at the Mountain Winery for the Ultimate Pinot Noir

Winemaker Dinner. Guests will be able to dine with their favorite

legendary winemaker and experience live food pairing

demonstrations by Executive Chef, David Sidoti.  This is bound to

the many Pinot Noir producers of the Santa Cruz Mountains.  Taste

through barrel samples, enjoy the experience of meeting our

winemakers and participate in personal tours of the vineyards.

The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association invites you to

enjoy the wineries of this extraordinary appellation!   As a Passport

holder, we invite you to explore our extraordinary viticultural region

and become acquainted with the incredible diversity of the wines

and winemakers therein. Passport wineries will be open on the

third ­Saturday of January, April, July and November.  Most Passport

wineries are open 11am – 5pm (please call to confirm), as well as

during their regular hours or check scmwa.com/participating-

wineries.
